I wrote a book!

Hello, family! I wanted to share the good news that I wrote a book, all the way to the end, and took it through multiple revisions and am sending it to agents starting in September.  It’s a YA book about a teenage girl dealing with an anxiety disorder, a mysterious and aloof love interest, and the death of the little boy next door.   thanks to Rachel for beta reading and giving me great feedback! I’ll keep everyone updated about its progress toward publication, but I anticipate it will take a while. - Erica

An interesting read on neurodiversity

I enjoyed this piece on neurodiversity; let me know what you think https://www.tylerknott.com/p/is-neurodiversity-an-evolutionary?r=18e420&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web

We (Alexander and Vita) recently went to Utrecht to attend a wedding. Here is my exhaustive travelogue.

Books

To share and discuss books.   I recently read "Harry's  Trees" by Jon Cohen and I enjoyed it very much. And "Arcadia" by Lauren Groff which I liked though I'll admit the hippie/cult aspect felt a bit creepy.  And a few other books I read that I thought very good, "Little Big" by John Crowley "The Law Of Love" by Laura Esquivel "Here Be Dragons" by Sharon Kay Penman "City of Lights' by Lauren Belfer  "A Distant Mirror" by Barbara W. Tuchman with a common thread of being otherworldly whether in time or fiction. And I was wondering if  any of you have read anything by Ursula K. Le Guin, Isabel Allende or Phillip K. Dick?                                                                                                                                    * Taffy *

Snow in RÄ«ga today [ click "read more" to see video ]. It got up to into the 20s°c (70s°f) a week ago. We had a fairly snowy winter compared to most years but still quite mild for the area historically. The Baltic Sea used to have an effect similar to the Great Lakes but now days it mostly causes rain. Aisa is unimpressed. — Alexander
